A London Borough of Culture Creative Wellbeing course

Rap Therapy’s focus is to complement the UK education sector by improving the mental health and creativity of students using rap.

Rap Therapy are offering a free 3 week course, sign up below.

Rap Therapy offers a series of workshops, which uses rap as a tool to teach students how to positively express themselves and become more creative. The core focus of the workshop is to improve communication between young people and influence positive ways of expression, in turn improving their mental health. The workshops equip students with transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and listening skills, which they can use in and out of their classrooms.

3 Week Course

Ages: School Years 6, 7 & 8

Where and When:

  • New Addington Library at 4.30pm – 5.30pm on Mondays, 13th, 20th, 27th November

  • Thornton Heath Library at 4.30pm – 5.30pm on Wednesdays, 15th, 22nd and 29th November

Cost: Free

Learning outcomes include: rhyme schemes, team building games, metaphors, similes, writing development, practice, performing and recording music.
