Tamsin is a clarinet specialist who also plays the saxophone and piano. She attended the RCM Junior Department and has an ARCM in clarinet teaching. She has an English Degree from the University of York. Tamsin taught clarinet and saxophone for many years at Bromsgrove School in the Midlands, where she also organised and ran major music tours and acted as Pastoral Tutor in a girls’ boarding house. She subsequently moved to Croydon and has worked as an Instrumental Teacher and Leader at CMA for nearly 20 years, where she has added classroom teaching to her experience of teaching young people from beginner to diploma standard.
Tamsin has directed numerous varying ensembles and bands over the years and performed extensively for shows, musicals and concerts. She has also sung in many choirs. She enjoys running, cycling, sewing, gardening and reading in her spare time!
