Felix Shepherd, head of Creative Music at CMA, is a passionate musician and teacher. He has taught piano and brass at many schools in Croydon and South London for over 15 years. During the day he works at CMA developing student's creativity and skills in music. He conducts the wind band & brass group, runs composition/creative groups and helps out with all the other orchestras, jazz bands and inclusive groups at CMA. He is a dedicated teacher and loves to see his pupils excel through good understanding and hard work!

In the evenings, he is an acting musician playing piano and trombone in many jazz, funk, swing, afrobeat and function groups. His bands specilaise in songs by Steely Dan, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder and many more. He also loves to play classical music on both the trombone and piano in local orchestras.

Felix is author to the piano tutorial book 'Accomplished Piano Method', he also composes original music for his student orchestras and piano students. He arranges piano songs and horn charts for bands, and has dabbled in TV scoring.
