CMA Saturday Centre Newsletter September 2023
Welcome to a new year at Croydon Music and Arts Saturday Centre. I hope that you enjoyed the CR Talent Festival – we are so proud of the performances. Thank you for your support, getting the children to rehearsals and dealing with the weather on the day. And a massive thank you to staff for their work preparing the performances. This year we will continue to have our termly concerts, and we will end the year with a Showcase Concert at Fairfield on July 9.
Staff changes
At the end of the summer term we sadly said goodbye to Mrs Hardy and Mrs Burcombe. We are delighted to welcome new staff – Mr Alex Lockheart will work with our guitarists, Miss Claire Slade with our choirs and Miss Ellen Wilkinson with flutes, dancers and Access Music Makers. Mr Booke Day will be leading StringWorks and supporting violin and viola club.
CYM Entrance and times
Star Classes should use the pupil entrance at the side of the building. All other groups should use the main entrance by the library. We do not allow children to leave without an adult unless I have been given written permission from a parent or carer.

Please note that there will be NO REHEARSALS on October 21 and 28 as it is Half Term.
Concerts
These will be on December 2 at Oasis Shirley Park, details to follow in due course.
